A leader with deep financial and operational experience, Dowdy brings a track record of success building and growing data-driven software companies to his work as CFO of Concert.
Prior to Concert, Dowdy was part of a three-person team that raised capital and bought Edgenet, a software firm offering content management and product sales configuration to suppliers, distributors, and retailers. As CFO, he positioned Edgenet for profitable growth and helped recapitalize the business. Before that, Dowdy was part of the leadership team at Asurion, the leading provider of insurance, warranty, and support services for consumer electronics. There, he held finance, strategy, business development, and operational roles, ultimately serving as CFO of call center operations.
Outside of work, Dowdy is a board member and chair of the finance committee for KIPP Academy Nashville, a non-profit college-preparatory institution serving elementary, middle, and high school students.
He holds an undergraduate degree in economics and history from Duke University and a Master in Business Administration from the University of Virginia.
