Jim Almas, MD

Dr. Almas is a board-certified pathologist. He was most recently VP and National Medical Director for Clinical Effectiveness at Labcorp. Dr. Almas served as Medical Officer in the Coverage Group at CMS and then as the Medical Director at MolDX (Palmetto) before coming to Labcorp. He was the Medical Director for two large health systems and has served as a consultant to Blue Cross Blue Shield association members. He has been active in CPT both as an advisor to the CPT Panel and as a member of the PLA Technical Advisory Group.
