Job Opening: Healthcare Data Analyst

Your Role

You will analyze medical claims data, primarily diagnostic claims. You will work closely with clinical specialists to assess overutilization and poor billing practices. You will contribute to the enhancement and expansion of Concert’s catalog of transparency solutions.

​​Your responsibilities will include:

• Claims analysis
  • You will ensure claims are organized in bins that match our taxonomy (e.g. imaging for cancer screening)
  • You will ensure data is clean and reports are accurate
  • You will build processes for repeating your analysis
• Collaboration
  • You will work with clinical specialists, providing them with data insights that inform the development of coverage policies and claim edits (denials).
  • You will draft and test logic for claim edits with clinical specialists.

 

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or greater in a quantitative or medical field such as statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, finance, economics, biology, pre-med, etc.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience analyzing healthcare claims data.
• Core skills: 
  • SQL (Redshift experience is a plus)
  • Google Sheets (or Excel)
  • Dashboard/report development (Metabase experience is a plus)
• Ideal skills:
  • Clinical experience with diagnostics (e.g. laboratory, imaging, et al)
  • Python (Pandas experience is a plus)
  • Dashboard/report development (Metabase & Tableau experience is a plus)
